With her gracious presence and infectious energy, Dr. Natalie is a dedicated, empathetic, and positive force in the world of addiction and mental health treatment. As a fierce advocate for personal growth and self-awareness, Dr. Natalie has dedicated her career to helping individuals overcome maladaptive behaviors and addictions in beautiful California.

After several years as a therapist in Los Angeles based dual-diagnosis treatment centers, where she led nine mental health and recovery groups weekly, supported patients via individual therapy sessions, and hosted monthly family weekends to foster healthy communication, psychoeducation, and familial repair, Dr. Natalie was invited to join the private practice of Barbara “Bobbi” Carlson, PhD., a female pioneer in the world of addiction and mental health—directly taught by our psychological forefathers, Viktor Frankl and Rollo May.

Under Dr. Carlson’s tutelage, Dr. Natalie was afforded the opportunity to create individualized treatment plans that allowed for her genuine care and compassion to envelope the patient’s experience. She was supported and encouraged to have real feelings for her patients. Checked boxes and linear descriptions have never been the driving force of Dr. Natalie’s approach to aligning and knowing her patients. Instead, she seeks to provide her patients with special attention given to their unique human experience and to foster their distinct therapeutic needs and goals.

Dr. Natalie makes a concerted effort to include a wide variety of humans being in her practice and treats everyone with the same consideration and attention, regardless of income, lifestyle, or background. She truly believes in the power of change and has had the great fortune to have patients who have been incarcerated at the highest levels of detention, others with the most extreme lifestyles, psychotic disorders, and addictions, to those who have celebrated names and faces within our cultural complex.

Dr. Natalie is singularly focused on the patients in her private practice, which remains dynamic and thriving. By doing so, she is able to give additional time and attention to notable executives and celebrities who have required and sought her guidance in the creation of sober living environments within their homes to foster privacy while detoxifying and beginning their recovery journeys.

Dr. Natalie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to every session. Her strength-based advocacy, empathy, and authenticity are a true inspiration; her commitment and devotion to her patients is unwavering. Her personal history of extreme trauma and loss has led Dr. Natalie forward with genuine passion and desire to help others struggling with similar issues and experiences. She has lost many sweet souls over the years, but carries their hopes, fears, and stories with heartfelt remembrance as guiding lights and endless fuel to avoid such pain and final suffering for her current patients and those who love them.

Whether you are struggling with addiction, trauma, or relationship issues, Dr. Natalie is here to guide and ride with you on your journey to self-discovery, personal growth, and freedom from all that ails you. Please join her and take the first step towards your brighter, healthier, and more peaceful future.
